I come with 27 years of versatile experience as an educator, innovator, researcher, mentor and academic administrator at post-secondary institutes and industry.  I was selected for the professional development training, “STEMCOM Powering Future Women Leaders 2021,” offered by the South Asia Gender and Energy Facility (SAGE) of the World Bank. My prime areas of interest are Smart Grid, Optical Fiber communication, Renewable Energy Sources, Electric Vehicles, Electrical Machinery and Engineering Education Research. I have significant contributions through various approaches in conducting original research published 45 research articles in peer-reviewed journals, published 8 book chapters and 5 books. Successfully supervised 9 postgraduate and 2 PhD scholars, ability to critically evaluate existing research and identify gap with excellent innovative skills, 4 International patents, 12 National patents are granted and one copyright is registered. I have strong writing skills with a significant number of publications with ability to present research findings,  I am the reviewer and attendee of more than 100 International conferences mainly IEEE and Springer and 40 national conferences.

My Startups ‘IGEN Edu Solutions’ and ‘GREAT Alliance Foundation’ are working for outreach and promotional activities to strengthen the Research Index of Institutions. My Startup is shorted as Finalist for National Startup Awards 2022 by Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Govt. of India.  During its 1st year of inception, more than 100 patents are filed along with hand holding of around 10 institutions. During these outreach activities more than 500 faculty members and 5000 students get benefitted. 

I am also on board as a member for National and International bodies, Senior Member IEEE, IEEE Impact Creator, National Secretary IEEE Prakash Bharati(Consortium IEEE Photonics Society Chapters India), Member-EXECOM Chandigarh Subsection, Member-EXECOM- IEEE PES-IAS, Delhi Chapter, International Advisory Panel for Malaysia Technical Scientist Association, Member-Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association(IEEMA) and Academic Nominee-IEEMA Chandigarh Chapter , Life Member of the International Association of Engineers, The Optical Society of India and many more. 

I have authored the books “Smart Metering Technology “, “Basic Electrical Technology- A review”, “Performance Modeling of Hybrid Fiber Amplifiers for DWDM Systems”, proceedings of “National Conference on Structuring Innovation through Quality SITQ- 2013”, “Optical Communications Systems” with the chapter “Hybrid Fiber Amplifier” and more in contribution to the related existing study.

With that said, the knowledge and experience I have earned along my journey and the multifarious work profile I now hold, would make its ultimate impact when it breaks through real-time global barriers.
